Our Classes

For 25 years it has been our philosophy that dance should be personally rewarding and provide a positive experience to all.   It is our goal to combine excellence in dance education with a fun filled learning atmosphere in a non-competitive environment and to encourage students to achieve their personal best as individuals.

It is important to us that our dancers are challenged and thrive both physically and mentally. It is also important that each student feels special and well cared for.

It is our aim at the studio to provide a diverse learning opportunity and to encourage creativity within individuals.

The studio's curriculum-based activities are linked with innovative programs of physical fitness under the guidance and supervision of our highly trained teaching faculty.

Classical ballet

It is known for its aesthetics and rigorous technique (such as pointe work, turnout of the legs, and high extensions), its flowing, precise movements, and its elegant and graceful qualities.

Classes focus on correct ballet technique and incorporate dance, theory and an artistic expression appropriate to the level.

Jazz

Jazz dancing is a form of dance that showcases a dancer's individual style and originality. Every jazz dancer interprets and executes moves and steps in their own way. This type of dancing is energetic and fun, consisting of unique moves, fancy footwork, big leaps and quick turns.

Tap

Tap dancing is an exciting form of dance using the feet like drums to create rhythmic patterns and timely beats. Special shoes are worn with metal taps to create the tapping sound.   It combines a love of dance, music and performance.   Tap dancing is a discipline that teaches the dancer about choreography, improvisation and syncopation.

Lyrical & Contemporary

Two dance styles both with classical and jazz foundations, focusing on interpretive and abstract movement.  This dance style explores a full range of body movement to create a highly expressive and boldly physical style.

AcroDance

A gymnastics floor- based class focusing on the correct technique for dance related tumbling and tricks.  AcroDance is a style of dance that combines dance technique with precision acrobatic elements. It is defined by its athletic character, its unique choreography, which seamlessly blends dance and acrobatics, and its use of acrobatics in a dance context.  Dynamic Moves Dance Studio is the only accrediated studio in the Illawarra with Acrobatic Dance Association.
